I'm sure many of yo are keeping an eye on the news. The storms in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi are taking its toll on the south. Keep the families that are affected in your prayers as well as the volunteers who are trying to bringing much needed aid to those affected areas.

Mother's Finest

High 5

A friend hit me up onto this classic group Mother's Finest. I don't know how to describe them, I guess Funk/Soul/Metal/Rock. It's amazing. I did not know they sung my fave song "Love Changes"

"Love will make you oh so happy, inside...Love will make you oh sad, make you cry. Changes, that what love puts you through, changes-what love makes one do"

I mean I am truly jamming to their music-from album to album you can hear how they've evolved in their music. Very few artists today have this skill. A lot of music these days sounds the same or the subjects are straight foolishness. Seriously "Have a baby by me baby, be a millionaire" What is that telling youngins? What happened to good music, music with a message, or feel good music-that wasn't overly sexual (I mean really leave some of that to the imagination). Where's my generation of Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Barry White, Michael Jackson?

Don't get me wrong there are some good artists out there now India.Arie, Jill Scott, Raheem Devaughn, heck even Sade has come out with a new good album. But they are the minority in this day and age.

Bring back the good music. Live Performances. Intimate Performances. ORIGINALITY

This is God's world, We just live in it

As a society, we like to think we have control of our lives and of others. But we must understand that this is God's world and we just live in it. I am grateful for everything he has given me, all the tests and trials that I have been put through only makes me a stronger person.

We as a society must realize that it's not all about us all the time. There are others in need. We weren't placed on this earth to see how many worldly possessions we can obtain or how much money we can gain. At some point your conscience should kick in and force you to think of others around you, others around the world.

Haiti is hurting right now. A force of nature has devastated this small country. This is a time that all should help rebuild this country, give the people there a little hope. I'm answering the call for help by donating to Wyclef Jean's foundation yele.org

2009 WOW

Man,

Lots happened this year. We lost some amazing entertainers and athletes. Some passed of natural causes, others of pure foolishness. R.I.P.

This past year was a breeze it seemed to me. It started and finished so quickly. It was still a banging year, looking forward to 2010 being even better.

Stay in your spirit and remember your roots.
Follow your dreams but make realistic goals to obtain those dreams
Be kind to all and truthful even when it hurts
Love family and friends cherish them with all of you
